ABSTRACT
Dry eye, a prevalent ocular surface disease with rising incidence, has become a significant challenge to public eye health.Ultrasonic atomization treatment (UAT) has demonstrated distinct advantages in the integrative management of eye diseases by providing rapid relief of symptoms and improvement in clinical signs. However, standardized guidelines for UAT in the treatment of dry eye are still lacking.Drawing on the ” Chinese Expert Consensus on Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Dry Eye (2024)” and practical clinical experience, lots of experts from various ophthalmic academic groups in China have developed a unified consensus on UAT for dry eye. This consensus aims to enhance ophthalmologists’ understanding of UAT and standardize its practices across all levels of hospitals. This consensus will serve as a critical reference for future clinical work, ultimately improving the visual quality and life of patients suffering from dry eye.
