Main steps: The human amniotic membrane (hAM) patch was trimmed into an appropriate size (2 mm × 2 mm) and inserted into the vitreous chamber through a cannula. It was flattened using internal limiting membrane tweezers and its position was adjusted after being inserted into the subretinal space. Gas-liquid exchange was immediately performed to prevent displacement of the hAM patch, followed by filling with silicone oil.
